Just GREAT!!

I tested Workiom for one month. I'm blown away with the endless possibilities. The team is super professional even the development team helped me set up the API.There is still some space for improvement. I'm confident that the team will achieve those improvements.
If possible I would like to see the option to have workspaces and maybe some sort of white label for guest users.

Thanks Workiom and saas mantra!!

Don't miss this

I've been playing with Workiom for a few hours today and I can already see that it's very powerful.

Love the automation feature, you can create some interesting processes with it.

Had 3 questions for the support and got answers in about 10-15 minutes.

Thank you Saas Mantra and Workiom team for giving us this deal! :)

Too Good to Pass !!!

I got into the LTD game with Fieldbook, it was good while it lasted - then bust. Since then not many deals in the Air-table type Saas area, Except 2 Stack-by and infinity, I have both but found that Workiom is the best suited for my needs.
I has a great combination of features and simplicity - some of the outstanding features are ...
- Formulas
- Linked Lists - I found the implementation best out of all.
- Lookup Fields
Also we have all features with just 1 code ; Stacking is required for users only - so we can plan our purchase better.

Thanks Team Saas Mantra and Workiom

Firstly Congratulations on coming up with such an awesome tool!
I am about to purchase 1 code now.

Just before I do that wanted to understand if we can add users in the future and how much should we pay per additional user?

@Bassem: When you visit Workiom website or use one of the Workiom apps, the transmission of information between your device and our servers is encrypted.
Workiom servers are located in Germany, in data centers that are ISO 27001 certified. Workiom utilizes industry-leading Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting infrastructure. Workiom maintains business continuity and disaster recovery plans. We regularly install security updates and patches to keep servers up to date.
Access to servers is segmented based on role and protected using restrictive firewalls. Workiom maintains separate production and testing environments, and the production environment is not accessible to developers.

I like the interface here and I am a bit confused with buying between Workiom and Infinity. There are pros and cons. But I think the Infinity team is active and have a lot of documentation as well as videos and information on the internet.

Could you please post your roadmap as I can see it is updated in the Last May month.

We are still building our knowledge base and we are adding new videos every week, and our support team is reactive and try to help all the time.

Our roadmap is available at workiom.productroad.com.

I obviously hope you will choose us :)

I'm having a tough time so far :(

No way to contact the support from the website. Workiom twitter account blocks direct messages. Not being able to contact the support from your website is really not nice...

I'm trying to develop a very simple app:
- One table "RegistrationCodes" contains a series of unique codes
- Users have to fill a registration form (data stored in "RegistrationForms" table) and input a code
- The app checks if the code manually input in RegistrationForms exists in RegistrationCodes. Ideally directly from the form, otherwise after submitting the form through a trigger.

Seems it's not possible to use computed fields to get data from other tables, so I can't get any data stored in RegistrationCodes from RegistrationForms. How can a database not be able to work on data across tables ?

Help article about computed formulas must be improved. (and help in general)

Fields are refered with names such as _F_1234. Very unintuitive!

Thanks for your feedback

@Jean-Laurent: I would also like to share some answers for the rest to benefit.

In order to get any type of data or info from another table or list, there needs to be a relation or link. This is created by adding a field of the following type: linked list.

Going from here, there are several ways to get a "linked" data or info,
1. Lookup, it allows fetching a specific field value from a linked record. Ex: Car (list) is linked to Owner (list), Then in Car list, we can feth any data related to Owner in corresponding field types using the "Lookup" function. This works only if the linkedlist field is singular and doesn't allow multiple links.
2. Rollup, it allows getting aggregated numerical info such as avg, min, max, sum from linked records on another list.
3. Count, it allows fetching the count of linked records.

As any database in order to enforce any type of integrity, a link (relation) should exist between the two lists. In workiom this relationship is enforced on record level. In the scenario you describe, the triggered action should search and add the link. This a very interesting usage that we didn't implement yet. However, you can implement in Zapier.

One last precision to make. Calculated fields are meant to apply arithmetic and logic operations on fields of the same record.

(1) Plans for internal communications for teams like chat? Integrate with other apps like Slack?

(2) Will there be any document editing controls like a basic WYSWIG editor to create more readable documentation within the app?

(3) Will there be in-line editing in all fields so you don't have to open each entry to edit?

(4) Any plans to have a Wiki feature?

(5) File Attachments: Drag & Drop?

(6) Task Dependencies: Can this be made easier to do instead of having to figure out the logic ourselves?

(7) Related to # 6 above: At the end of the webinar, Sampath said to not think of Workiom as a project management tool. Do you agree? Because I don't. If you will compete with Airtable, Clickup and Stackby, this functionality should be there.

(8) INTEGRATIONS: Pretty much the key to your success now IMO. Fail to take this seriously and your very good product will not get adopted by enough people to matter. Zapier is not enough. It is ridiculously priced and Integromat does the same for much less. Pabbly Connect is get rapid adoption too. You want to know why? Because they are integrating with tons of recent AppSumo deals so they are creating a network effect leveraging the AppSumo ecosystem. So even if you are on SaasMantra, you will get much more rapid interest if you offer Integromat and Pabbly Connect, because the ability of your app to move data back and forth with other apps is going to be why most people consider using it, not just its native functions.

(9) Marketing: You will need one or two people who decide to become the champions for Workiom. Example: Nat Eliason just released a course for Roam. He is driving adoption of Roam by the thousands, because he is providing use cases and training for it. This is more than just affiliate marketing. Find that person and you will succeed much faster.

You have a nice product. Compared to Stackby which is ending on AppSumo, your app is faster and a little bit cleaner looking. Your ability to link data sets makes it already more powerful than Stackby, but they are wayyyyyyy ahead of you on integrations so even if you may already be fundamentally better their strategy is ahead of yours to get market share. I think you have a decent chance to become a real success story. It's a good product, but don't limit yourself to sales teams wanting CRMs. Get creative with use cases, because the market for this is so big.

Good luck

@Erik: GREAT input!

I too hope that they will integrate with other automation tools, in my case Integrately would be much appreciated.

I also looked at Stackby but gave Workiom the benefit of the doubt - this also depends on the integrations. For example, getting better insights in ad campaigns by importing data (and set formula rules, which they already have)

And yes, more tutorial videos / case studies!

@Erik: Hey and thanks for the questions.

1. Yes, an integration with Slack makes sense and so is Twilio. It is on our backlog, we still haven't set a date yet. It would help tremendously if you vote for it or add it to our product Roadmap, workiom.productroad.com

2. We plan to rich formating for multiline text fields. We think this could be used as documents.

3. In-line editing in the grid is already available. You need to double click on the specific value in order to edit it. Additionally, we are also adding record creation on the grid which will remove a lot of friction on data entry.

4. We are not considering adding a WIki feature, this is the first time we have received this request. If other users ask for it too, then we will consider it.

5. It is a UI issue, we could implement it. Kindly vote for it or add it to the product roadmap.

6. We are going to add tasks as a native data field type. This will include dependencies.

7. We are growing into it, we are an nocode platform, but the market obligates us to be a PM tool too, this what makes sense for all of our users.

8. I agree, we did publish webhooks BTW, and Pabbly has added Workiom to their list of tools. They haven't done well, but they did.

I don't see how you can compare it to AIRTABLE if you can't get the public to be able to see a project. They have a PUBLIC view of any layout/filter, just from a link.
I understand teammate limits as you are collaborating with them.
I don't see why there any guest limits at all, and how there can be no public view?

Naturally one prime use of this is to share/private access to your data to a large number of customers.

Also as discussed already, a GALLERY view and a trello view are key layouts to present data.

@Peter: It really depends on how you are using the system. Airtable has public views of your data but has no intra-app connectivity (linking lists and tables from different apps), nor deep level access permissions (on field and record lvl), nor automation.

At this stage you can use the public form, and within 3-4 months we are also going to add guest users features, so they can interact further with your data.

Sharing views is on our backlog and we are working towards it.

Reply You must login to Reply

man-user

Sinan

1 month ago  Founder

@Peter: Hey so we do have a Kanban view (trello).

Guest users as we are developing them as limited users who have data entry capacity, so it is normal from an accountability point of view to limit their numbers in function of the organization size. There is on the other hand a public form feature that allows an unlimited number of people to use it. As for the public views, this is a feature on our roadmap that we will release soon.

Now for the differences with Airtable:
1. Native automation in Workiom, in Airtable it is through zapier
2. Linking lists accross applications, in Airtable you can only link list within the same application.
3. Advanced access rights, in workiom you can define permissions on field level, on views, and on specific functions. In Airtable you can only define them on application level.
