How do you feel when you get recognized for achievement?

Pretty good, right? For example, I did a virtual walk/run challenge where I received a certificate for several milestones throughout the event. It was a nice way of keeping me inspired to continue.

Well, this product is a bit like that... a bit of inspiration for recognizing achievements, milestones, goals attained for your clients/customers/students, etc.

I recently watched one of their webinars held by Giovanna which taught me how to use the product.

I like this product because it allows us to offer our customers a true badge and certificate, and not just a generic green "completed" checkmark or basic, boring badge found online.

The process is easy and I can do it without the need for any design or tech skill. I love that I can create badges for my course students easier.

I can add and send out additional levels simply so when students/customers achieve a new milestone, I can send out a particular badge.

The badge can be easily shared on social media sites like Facebook and Linkedin. Customer can add their own image to the badge which adds a nice touch.

You can issue certifications that are easily verified and that people want to share.

So what needs improvement: would be the ability to automate the process of sending out the badges from LMS systems like Learn + from ThriveCart. Otherwise, it looks as the founder/team is working hard to improve the app.

I highly recommend this product and feel Virtualbadge.io is a really great investment.

Pros:

What sets apart this from others:

🪔🪔🪔🪔🪔 - Predefined Fields! - This are customizable input which you can also use CSV Function. Add custom/different instructor names, course date, and location. GOLDEN FEATURE

🪔🪔🪔🪔🪔 - Editable Templates and Beautiful Layouts

🪔🪔🪔🪔🪔 - Whitelabel is the best function. You can customize the notification email with your own email body, own logo and branding.

Some of the features I want to see:

1. Once the option for traditional certificate with no profile picture has been implemented, I would like to see a direct PDF download of participants certificate on the dashboard.

2. Option to edit emails for bounced and pending under recipients (to correct typo or wrong email address).

Cons:

Nothing for my use case, but other users they want CNAME, Webhooks or Pabbly Connect and traditional cerificates which are all in the works.

Q-1: Have you decided anything on the Team feature? How many team members per code OR Plan? The probable month of releasing the Team feature?

Q1- Yes, Zapier is part of our Pro solution, and therefore part of all our SaaS Mantra deals.

Q2- We received many requests for Pabbly and we have saved the topic for future discussions. it is not part of our roadmap for the time being, but we understand how relevant it is :)

Hi, would the following case be possible? Rental agents and their properties that match certain standards based on metrics and valuations of bookers will be handed out a certain badge that entitles them to better promotion, lower advertisement costs. We are looking for a solution via an API to automate it but also make it certified - no fake badges

Yes, yours is a great use case for the digital certificates.

You could use our API (available from 5 codes on) to automatically add recipients and send out certificates via email.

The certificates created can be verified at any time (we also notify if the certificate is expired).

Our certificates are optimized to the shared online (mostly LinkedIn), so your rental agents could easily add them to their LinkedIn profiles under "Licenses and Certifications", from where people from their network could also validate the certificates.

I'm a bit lost on...

Organization Slugs...are these something like virtualbadge.io/my-org-slug?

White Label...Is this similar to slugs, but includes custom branding for colours/ logo etc, but not custom domain?

Custom Domain via (CNAME)...So for CNAME I would need to puchase 4 codes per client in order to access this feature. So 25 clients would require a minimum of 100 codes?

Where do teams fit within this structure?

- Organization slugs: Yes, you got it correctly.

You define the second part of the URL for the Recipients Page (that is the page that your recipients go to after they click on the link they will receive via email. From this page they can download and share their certificates.)

- White-label: It refers to the email information and to Virtualbadge's logo in the Recipient page.

A no-white label solution has our logo in the footer of the emails that you send to your recipients, and has a "Virtualbadge.io" logo on the bottom right corner of the Recipient page.

Colors and logos are things that can be altered even without the full white-label solution.

- Custom Domain via CNAME: That is a feature that we are developing exclusively for SaaS Mantra (still not ready). It makes it possible for you to host the Recipient page under your chosen domain.

- Team access: It is already in our roadmap, and we expect to make it available in Q12022. Different team members will be able to have different access levels to different certificates.

- For your specific case:

One account refers to one Organization. If you want to offer your clients their own accounts, so they can have the Recipient page in their own website (once CNAME is available), each client would need one account.

Otherwise, you could just keep the Recipient pages under virtualbadge.io/my-org-slug1, and have one orga-slug for each of your clients (with 10 codes you can have up to 25 orga-slugs). This also means that all information from your multiple clients is managed under the same account.

We have two different "certificate pages", so I'll separate them in order to answer your question the best :)

1) The Recipient View Page (or the Certificate Page):

That is the page that your recipients go to as soon as they click on the link in their emails. This page is inviting them to access their certificates (and share them, download them, etc).

The page is whitelabeled for 3 codes or more, and you can change the Orgaziation Slug in the URL, and add your own logo and color codes. We are working on the CNAME for this page and we hope to make it available soon :)

2) Certificate Validation Pages

These are the pages that carry the meta data of all certificates that you issue (like the name of the course, name of recipient, date of issue, and etc). To access this page, you could click on "See credential" directly from the LinkedIn profile of someone who has added their certificate to their LinkedIn profile.

So each certificate issued with our software, has also their unique validation page.

The link to this page is created and made available for each recipient after they first access their certificates.

These validation pages takes place, by default, for all our plans, inside Virtualbadge.io's website.

We do offer custom solutions so some clients, and it allows the Validation Pages to be hosted inside their websites, but since it is custom, it is also not part of our LTD.

the api is now available?

Hi @kham, yes!

Great timing for this questions, as we have just released the first version of our API yesterday :D

The API is part of our normal Expert plan (so it is available for purchases above 5 codes), and it allows you to automatically add recipient information and send emails.

More versions and more features of the API are being released in the following months :)

How do you compare with Sertifier?

While other providers (like Sertifier) offer the basic automation features involved in issuing digital certificates, we focus on creating certificates made to be shared on social media (which increases your visibility online and gets you more clients).

It means that the journey that your recipients go through is simple and intuitive, besides being completely white-labeled for your brand.

Our API will be accessible for Expert plans ( 5 codes up) and Zapier will be available for Pro and Expert plans (any code).

Future integrations (specially LMS) are still not defined.

@Giovanna: What are the limitations on the use of the API per second and per hour?

Hi @kham, we do throttle, but just so we do exclude spammers.

Normal usage is fine :)

In case of too many requests, a status code of 429 is returned.

Is it possible to remove participants photo from their certificate?

I want to use the certificates for a team of coaches.

-Is it possible to give access to their certificates to each coach? I mean let them do the certifactes input.

- Can the certificates data be uploaded in bulk?

Hi @Luis De Pau, nice use case!

Are the coaches from your team the recipients of your certificates?

If yes, you can add custom fields to the certificates, and the recipients can add information there freely. You can do it using a 'text input field" or a "dropdown field. Both these options are available on "Designer"-> "Custom Fields".

I can also give you access to our predefined fields. You can add them to the certificates and map information from your CSV upload.

They are currently a feature from our Beta Users Community, and I can gladly add you to it (just let me know which email are you using in your account).

And yes, certificate data can be bulk added via a CSV upload. From the tab "Recipients", you can just drag and drop your CSV list. After that, you can also bulk send all emails to the recipients of your list :)

How many users is allowed for max stacked codes?

Hi @shopaholic,

Since we are still defining how the team feature is going to look like, we still don't have the fixed number for the maximum amount of users.

I can tell you for sure, that the amount of team access will relate to the plans that we have (Starter, Pro and Expert), so the accounts with max codes will have the same team access rights as our Expert plans.

We plan to implement team access in 1Q2022 :)

What integration you have with others? For example, which LMS do you have integration with?

Hi @Andy, we are launching our first integration soon (that is Zapier), and we still don't have native integration to any LMS.

That is something that we will do in the next months and defiantly a must for this market :)
