Fully Tested and I believe it to be amazing as well as amazing deal.

This deal is Super Cheap compared to alternatives and they don't even have the functionality that this one has. I wish we can get more hours than 50,000 but again you can't beat the price.

Hi Alessandro, fun product you have here :) Four questions please:

1. Let's assume folks come to the site and start chatting. And chatting. And chatting..etc.. Well, can I set an automatic message (like a commercial, maybe even with a banner) to popup in the chat, at certain intervals? Example: "Don't forget today's discount for..this or that product" (sold on the site). You know...to bring everyone back to action :)

2. If I can install a widget on 10 domains, can each widget be customized/set individually (rules, logo included maybe)?

3. I love the map inside the chat. It could cut both ways and backfire...can that be hidden from users, especially if there are 1-2 visitors? Let's say, can I show the MAP once 10 visitors are active viewers?

4. Can I have a bot enter a conversation f only 1 visitor engages in the chat? Example, I am on the site now and I'm the only one..so I type "hello, is there anybody out there?" and if no one else is, the bot automatically kicks in with a preset message like "sort of quiet here for the moment; how about...something.." Is that possible?

[A] You could do this by using the API. You can create a simple JS app that publishes messages whenever you want. But in the future we will make this easier to achieve, configuring automatic messages directly in the Dashboard.

[A] Yes, absolutely. Widget customization is even on a per page basis.

[A] Currently, you can hide the map and the counters from the Dashboard. But there is no automation for this, so you have to manually enable or disable them. We'll definitely think about your idea!

[A] As per point 1 above, you could create a very simple bot through the API, for this purpose. But we plan to offer full bot integration in the future. And perhaps offer the functionality you described out of the box.

I must say we have an incredibly rich roadmap and prioritize new features is a tough task!

Since a website (company) may use sub-domains to access other platforms such as webinars, sales pages, link redirectors, Can you please enable those links to be clickable?

For example, I like to setup link.domain.com for link management. It is a CNAME to Pixle.me, but I use it frequently to easily distribute links when needed. One example, is that a site owner may be holding a webinar in the next 10 minutes and wants to give the link out in the Now4Real chat. Users can then click on the link and be redirected to the webinar. There are numerous examples, but please allow sub-domain links to be clickable from chat. Thanks.

You may also be interested to know that a new feature will be coming in the next few months: user roles. In particular, users with special roles (like moderators and special guests) will be able to post any clickable links, even to external sites.

@Sampath: Thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately, my use case is having this on pages for virtual events where people are viewing the live stream of the conference. Not all of the events have a registration component and I'm not sure if I can get our platform integrated to pass or validate registration data to use as the login.

I'd have to chat with some clients to see how they feel about their attendees using social platforms to login as an alternative.

In a number of cases I have to utilize an anonymous component based on client needs or capapbilities.

I confirm with Now4real you can achieve all these scenarios.

Below are a couple of examples of available possibilities. But many others are possible.

- You host a virtual event on a web page. You don't need to have a registration component. In that case, users will simply sign into Now4real directly, using their Google, Facebook, Twitter, ot LinkedIn profile. This is what typically happens for several virtual events powered by Now4real.

@Alessandro: I looked at the doc. It is not quite clear whether there is functionality where the user is prompted to enter their name. I'm understanding the doc as as configure it so that everyone shows up as "anonymous" or whatever I specify but it is applied to everyone OR the other method allows for "anonymous1" "anonymous2", etc. Or am I not understanding the documentation correctly? I want them to be able to enter their own name.

@Dan: You should provide the input field to enter their name directly on your page. Then, you inject the name into an unsecured JWT token before loading Now4real.

This is the simplest scenario, where users cannot see the chat until they enter a name in the input field. But if you want to allow anybody to see the chat in read-only until they enter their name, then the workflow would be like below:

1) You create a page where you show:

A) the live stream

B) the Now4real chat box

C) your own input field for the name

2) The user enters their name in the input field and your code on the page reads it. Now, you need to pass it to Now4real, which is already loaded. So, you should reload the page while remembering that name. You have a couple of options here: pass the name as a URL parameter; or temporarily save it in a cookie or localStorage.

3) Your page is reloaded. You read the name (from the URL, a cookie, or localStorage), create an unsecured JWT containing that name, and load Now4real.

By the way, for live events, you might want to show the chat box embedded in your page, rather than an overlay. If that's the case, just define the "container" parameter, as per https://now4real.com/api/Now4real.html#~Config

Sure, you can restrict Now4real to selected pages of your site. You simply put the script only on the pages you want.

You can definitely have some pages with site-wide chat and other pages with page-wide chat.

You can easily implement SSO (signed sign-on) on WordPress, so that when a user authenticates on WordPress, they will be also automatically authenticated on Now4real.

And yes, with Custom Auth you have full control over what members can read and/or post to each individual chat.

[A] With Custom Auth (https://now4real.com/custom-auth-doc/) you are given full control over the user details on each individual page. So, you can make a user appear with any identity you want (including anonymous) on any page you want. Furthermore, you can restrict chat access to specific users only on specific pages. These features allow you implement any visibility and authorization scenarios you need.

Last thing apart from adding video, audio functionality at some later stage, please add "ability to transfer files and screen share" if possible to complete this solution. A basic screen sharing like Skype will also be fine, so that users use single tool instead of too many.

Now4real connects people who are on the same page, right ? And lets them the possibility to chat. So for a LMS with many many lessons (like 3000), Now4real not really fits that use case, or I misunderstand something ? I mean people 1 on page A can't chat with people 2 on page B and they can't chat with people 3 on page C ?

You can choose between site scope and page scope. With site scop, your chat room will be shared among all the pages of your site. With page scope, you will have a chat room for each page of your site.

So, if you have a URL for each lesson, you might want to use page scope, to create a chat group of people in that lesson. But if you prefer people to chat with each other irrespective of the page they are viewing, you can go for site scope. You can even mix the two, by having some sections of your site with site scope and others with page scope.

Hello,

I am interested in buying full stack but I have few questions before jumping in the deal.

1) What is SSO and how will it benefit me? Any use case?

2) Is the entire UI and UX only in English? Or any other foreign languages supported? Which languages are supported?

3) What is the defination of user hour? How is it calculated and validated? Are you using any 3rd party tools to calculate it or its your own algorithm to measure it?

4) What about while label? I know we can upload our logo but apart from that does your brand / label appear anywhere in entire journey? In chat or widgets or email communication (if there is any) or anywhere in UI / UX does your name appear anywhere?

5) Foe each domain / website can I upload separate logo and separate branding / colour scheme etc.?

6) Can I filter out the negative words if users are using bad words in their chat like - f***k, c**t etc... I want to keep the chat on my website clean, so banning or masking negative / bad words is absolutely necessary. Is it possible? And can I define the negative world list separately for each domain / website?

7) Is there any way I can restrict users from typing or pasting external URLs if I want? This setting should be domain wise. Use case for this is - I don't want my competitor to come on my website and participate in the group chat and start diverting all the traffic from my website to his website by pasting the URL of his website which is offering competing product / service as mine. Otherwise this tool will be more harmful to my website than any helpful to me.

8) Custom domain / CNAME is possible?

9) Can I ban users from entering the chat based on their email or IP address or IP range or country, city they are coming from etc.?

10) Is auto translate of messages possible? e.g. if my widget is setup in English language because audience on my website is English speaking and if any user types in the message in French language, can this tool offer the option in real time to all other users in the chat to translate that message?

11) Who are the founders / the team behind this tool and is this their 1st product?

12) Do you have any Facebook group for the community users of this tool where ideas and use cases can be shared among other users? Most of the good SaaS companies have this.

1) What is SSO and how will it benefit me? Any use case?

2) Is the entire UI and UX only in English? Or any other foreign languages supported? Which languages are supported?

[A] The UI/UX automatically adapts to your language, based on the browser preferences. Currently supported languages are English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Italian. More languages will be coming. We are open to contribution for other translations (check out https://github.com/now4real/widget/blob/langs-data_WIPv2.js/langs-data.js )

3) What is the defination of user hour? How is it calculated and validated? Are you using any 3rd party tools to calculate it or its your own algorithm to measure it?

[A] The Viewing Time is the total time your users spend viewing the pages of your website in a given month. We only count the time when a page is actually visible and not when it is in the background or minimized. This means that when a user switches the focus to another browser tab, even if your page is still open in the previous tab, the Viewing Time timer is stopped.

For example, if you score 2,000 hours at the end of a month, it means that your website has been kept visible for 2,000 hours during that month. That’s a lot of time because, for those 2,000 hours, your site was actually in front of someone’s very eyes. This could be achieved in many different ways. For example:

- 24,000 different users kept any pages of your site visible in the foreground for 5 minutes each (because 24,000 * 5 / 60 = 2,000)

- 1,381 different users kept any pages of your site visible in the foreground for 20 minutes a week each (because 1,381 * 4.34 * 20 / 60 = 2,000)

- 66 different users kept any pages of your site visible in the foreground for 1 hour a day each (because 66 * 30.3 = 2,000)

In other words, 2,000 hours of Viewing Time means 2,000 hours of human attention gained by the pages of your website. It’s not the time your pages are simply kept open somewhere in the browser (and perhaps forgotten).

The ability to track user presence is exclusive of Now4real and has been implemented by us through a bidirectional real-time connection between each browser and our servers.

4) What about while label? I know we can upload our logo but apart from that does your brand / label appear anywhere in entire journey? In chat or widgets or email communication (if there is any) or anywhere in UI / UX does your name appear anywhere?

[A] With social login (the default authentication mechanism), we need to initiate a legal relationship with the user, to provide them with the privacy policy and the terms of service. So, when a user first logins via Facebook, Google, etc., they will see our name. If you disable social login and choose Custom Auth, you will manage authentication yourself, typically to get SSO. We are still responsible for privacy and terms of service so, in that case, users are prompted to accept them when they post their first message.

Complete white label means that we become a data processor (in GDPR terms) rather than being a data controller and requires additional legal duties on both our side and your side. This is not included with this deal but you can reach out directly to us and we can discuss this further,

5) Foe each domain / website can I upload separate logo and separate branding / colour scheme etc.?

[A] Yes, you can even define separate logos and colors for each individual page of any of your websites.

6) Can I filter out the negative words if users are using bad words in their chat like - f***k, c**t etc... I want to keep the chat on my website clean, so banning or masking negative / bad words is absolutely necessary. Is it possible? And can I define the negative world list separately for each domain / website?

[A] Currently, profanities can be filtered out in real-time via Automatic Moderation, which is a feature that is not included with this deal. The reason is that we use an external AI provider for this, which charges us by the message. So, we need to charge them to customers as well. But we are working on a new feature (which will be automatically given to SaaS Mantra customers) that allows you to define your own bad word lists.

In addition to that, you can manually moderate content and ban users.

Also, consider that chat messages are ephemeral and after a configurable time they disappear automatically.

7) Is there any way I can restrict users from typing or pasting external URLs if I want? This setting should be domain wise. Use case for this is - I don't want my competitor to come on my website and participate in the group chat and start diverting all the traffic from my website to his website by pasting the URL of his website which is offering competing product / service as mine. Otherwise this tool will be more harmful to my website than any helpful to me.

[A] Links posted to the chat are automatically deactivated, meaning that they are not clickable. Users need to manually copy and paste them to navigate to the target site.

8) Custom domain / CNAME is possible?

[A] You can add all the domains, domain aliases, and subdomains that you need for each site.

9) Can I ban users from entering the chat based on their email or IP address or IP range or country, city they are coming from etc.?

[A] With social login, you can ban users individually based on their identity. With Custom Auth, you have full control over authentication and you can implement your own rules, including IPs, geography, etc.

10) Is auto translate of messages possible? e.g. if my widget is setup in English language because audience on my website is English speaking and if any user types in the message in French language, can this tool offer the option in real time to all other users in the chat to translate that message?

[A] That's currently not supported.

11) Who are the founders / the team behind this tool and is this their 1st product?

[A] We chose not to expose our roadmap publicly, for several reasons. One of these is that we have some pretty unique features coming and we cannot afford to lose our competitive advantage. @Alessandro: Thank you so much for replying in detail to all my queries. I appreciate it. Everything looks good to me from your answers except for Point no 7. My fear is that my competitors might use this tool to divert the traffic on my website easily to their own website by pasting their URL. Other users can simply copy-paste the URL and go to my competitors website. That way I lose all my traffic and competitors can easily hijack my traffic. How can we address this issue?

@Digital Marketing: Your concern makes total sense.

Considering we are working on custom negative word lists (as per no. 6), we could add the capability to detect URLs too and filter them out automatically.

Moderators and special guests will be given the power to post links, while for other users you will have a switch to decide, for each site, if they are allowed to post links or not.

How does that sound?

I think you will have to do similar thing for email addresses and phone numbers. Because My competitor will come on my website and they will just post this message in the group chat "Hello, I have similar product to offer but at much cheaper price. Post your email id or phone number and we will send you the details".

This way my competitor can collect easy leads and potential customers without he paying single penny at my cost of bringing the traffic to my website.

How does that sound?

If these things taken care of, I think this widget would be great.

[A] We are currently working on a feature that will allow you to nominate users with special roles. They will appear in the chat with the badge you choose, to help identifying them as admin, moderators, special guests, etc. In addition to that, we will also release welcome message customization: you will be able to override the default welcome message that appears at the beginning of the chat with your own messages.

- How do I change the Logo/Branding

[A] With the "logo_url" parameter (see https://now4real.com/api/Now4real.html#~Config). To learn how to add parameters, check out https://now4real.com/quickstart/

- I have logged in the Publisher dashboard.

[A] From the Dashboard, you can add your sites. Then, you need to verify them to demonstrate the ownership. Once done, you can configure several settings for each site, as well access the historical analytics and chat transcripts.

I am currently using EDD for digital products, when a member purchases a product he is automatically added to buddyboss group for that product.

I am using Better User Chat for BuddyPress that integrates with buddyboss and use can see all the members of the group who have the same product, so he can chat there.

A user can be a member of multiple groups based on his purchases.

So I was wondering if I can add the user to different groups in now4real based on the purchases using some automated system?

@K A: Now4real uses the concept of "page presence" and "instant communities". A user on a web page user is the member of the group of people who are displaying the same page in the foreground (page presence) at the same moment (instant community).

That being said, with Custom Auth you have full control over the users who are entitled to see a given pagechat (a chat on a specific URL). You could develop an integration so that when a user buys a product, they are given access to the pagechat for that product.
